Tuotteiden arvioinnin suorittavat valmistajat, koska heillä on paras tietämys tuotteen sisällöstä. BASTAonline AB suorittaa sitten säännöllisiä auditointeja tytäryhtiöilleen laadun varmistamiseksi.

Olemme arvioineet tuotteita Byggvarubedomningenillä. Tämä tarkoittaa, että tuotteemme tarkistetaan niiden kemikaalisisällön, elinkaaren ja kestävien toimitusketjujen perusteella. Näin osaltamme edistämme kestävää rakentamista. Byggvarobedomningen on voittoa tavoittelematon taloudellinen yhdistys, joka arvioi ja tarjoaa tietoa kestävyysarvioiduista tuotteista. Our products certified according to BASTA also meet the stringent requirements set by the Swedish environmental certification ”Miljöbyggnad”, which certifies houses according to a 16-point program that includes criteria such as energy consumption, indoor environment and materials. The ”Miljöbyggnad” certification is owned by the Sweden Green Building Council, which also manages the Swedish version of BREEAM, which is Europe’s most widespread system for environmental certification.

Eco-friendly facade = 100% Recyclable
All OnceWall products are 100% recyclable, meaning that the material can be used over and over again. It is also possible to take down a OnceWall facade and put it up again somewhere else, much like moving a log house.
The material is completely optimal for recycling as a facade is 100% free of all other materials and can be recycled up to eight times, which makes the raw materials very long-lasting. Exactly what you would expect from a material for the future.
Vinyl recycling is constantly increasing, currently 800,000 tons per year in Europe, and the demand for recycled material is greater than the supply.

If you compare a wooden facade to a facade from OnceWall, there are probably very few who say that a wooden facade is better from an environmental point of view. There are many environmental problems with our modern forest management and internally within the forest industry. It contributes to deforestation and destroyed terrain when forestry machines clear our forests. Habitats are destroyed for many of our plants and animals.
Wooden facades are a natural product but require regular treatment with various products such as impregnation and paint to maintain their function and not start to rot. These products require a lot of chemicals to produce. The wood must also be sawn down, obtained from the forest, transported to sawmills and shipped to distributors. This is a process that consumes oil and contributes to the emission of large amounts of substances into nature. Forestry is Sweden’s second largest source of carbon dioxide emissions. A painted wooden facade receives about one kilogram of paint per m2 applied during its lifetime.
100% in vulnerable situations
In particularly exposed locations, a OnceWall facade lasts significantly longer than a wooden facade. Not least today, when much of the wood we install on our houses is very fast-growing. Long lifespan means little environmental impact.

All OnceWall products are 100% recyclable, meaning that the material can be used over and over again. It is also possible to take down a OnceWall facade and put it up again somewhere else, much like moving a log house.
The material is completely optimal for recycling as a facade is 100% free of all other materials and can be recycled up to eight times, which makes the raw materials very long-lasting. Exactly what you would expect from a material for the future.

Eco-friendly facade = 100% Recyclable
All OnceWall products are 100% recyclable, meaning that the material can be used over and over again. It is also possible to take down a OnceWall facade and put it up again somewhere else, much like moving a log house.
The material is completely optimal for recycling as a facade is 100% free of all other materials and can be recycled up to eight times, which makes the raw materials very long-lasting. Exactly what you would expect from a material for the future.
Vinyl recycling is constantly increasing, currently 800,000 tons per year in Europe, and the demand for recycled material is greater than the supply.

OnceWall versus wood
If you compare a wooden facade to a facade from OnceWall, there are probably very few who say that a wooden facade is better from an environmental point of view. There are many environmental problems with our modern forest management and internally within the forest industry. It contributes to deforestation and destroyed terrain when forestry machines clear our forests. Habitats are destroyed for many of our plants and animals.
Wooden facades are a natural product but require regular treatment with various products such as impregnation and paint to maintain their function and not start to rot. These products require a lot of chemicals to produce. The wood must also be sawn down, obtained from the forest, transported to sawmills and shipped to distributors. This is a process that consumes oil and contributes to the emission of large amounts of substances into nature. Forestry is Sweden’s second largest source of carbon dioxide emissions. A painted wooden facade receives about one kilogram of paint per m2 applied during its lifetime.
100% in vulnerable situations
In particularly exposed locations, a OnceWall facade lasts significantly longer than a wooden facade. Not least today, when much of the wood we install on our houses is very fast-growing. Long lifespan means little environmental impact.
The difference between a material that is not affected by moisture and weather versus one that is becomes especially great in locations such as the coasts of Lake Norse or up in the mountains. In many of these places, it is a universal truth that wood is not installed because it simply does not last long enough.

OnceWall facade panels require no maintenance. Once you have installed a OnceWall facade, it will require virtually no maintenance at all for many years to come, which has a number of advantages. The biggest one is of course the fact that you don’t have to paint and that you save a lot of money and a lot of time. And you also don’t have to put unnecessary strain on the environment.

Virtually all vinyl grades are recyclable and can in theory be recycled any number of times. In practice, due to contamination and moisture, vinyl is expected to be recycled up to eight times. This of course means a very large environmental benefit. Vinyl is cheap to produce, requires minimal maintenance and is extremely durable (it is most often used for the manufacture of products with a long shelf life, often with an expected lifespan of over 60 years). Thanks to the unique polymer structure, vinyl products are excellently suited for recycling when they have reached the end of their useful life.

Haastattelussa Greenpeacen perustajajäsenen, tohtori Patrick Mooren, kanssa hän jakoi näkemyksiään kestävästä rakentamisesta: ”Hyvät ihmiset! Meillä ei ole toimivaltaa poistaa yhtäkään alkuainetta jaksollisesta järjestelmästä!” Hän korosti PVC:n roolia vihreässä rakentamisessa ja antoi haastavan näkökulman siihen, miten elinkaariarviointi (LCA) on välttämätön tuotteiden erilaisten ympäristövaikutusten arvioimiseksi. ”Ei ole mitään näyttöä siitä, että vinyyli vahingoittaisi ihmisten terveyttä tai ympäristöä”, tohtori Moore sanoi. ”Lisäksi vinyyli, koska se on kestävää ja edullista, on kierrätettävää ja pärjää erittäin hyvin elinkaariarviointitesteissä. Yhteenvetona voidaan todeta, että vinyyli on materiaali, jonka ympäristöhyödyt usein aliarvioidaan suuresti.”
